Star Tours, The Adventure Continues

Scheduled to be opened for new adventures May 20, 2011, Star Tours has been temporarily grounded for new makeover.

The old attraction, based on the Return of the Jedi storyline in 1983, was a part of the Star Wars saga where Darth Vader and the evil Galatic empire begin building a 2ND Death Star to impale the Rebel Alliance.

According to sources, the new attraction will be fashioned around events that
occurred in Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

Filming for the new Star Tours has been underway in West Hollywood California since 2009.

Disney hopes to transport passengers in 3-D to a new interstellar route in the Star Wars Galaxy. As afore mentioned, the new 3-D simulator vehicle, will translate thrill-seekers to a period between episodes 3 and 4.

Equipped with a new orange-shaped "Starspeeder" 1000 spacecraft, get ready for some new characters including Aly San San spokesdroid, and the beloved robot C-3PO and AC-38 as pilots.

The former pilot, Captain Rex, will make an appearance at some point during the ride.

The state-of-the-art system ride features high-definition video, Real-D 3D screen, new motion simulator, and first-time-only special effects.
