Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid

Ariel at the New Fantasyland
It is slowly becoming one of the biggest expansions in the history of the park itself, that is what Magic Kingdom is doing to his original Florida theme park. One of the most anticipated additions is being open, Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid. And what a treat it will be for the visitors to go into this amazing ride. Just the outside will tell you how imaginative and creative the imagineers at Disney has been. They wanted to make you feel as if you are walking into a portal that will allow you to go inside this wonderful movie that sparked the other renaissance of Disney Animation. You’ll see the facade of Eric’s castle and as you walk into the passageway toward the ride itself, you’ll see little imaginative entertainments that will certainly allow the sure-to-be-long-lines a little more bearable. This will include a little crab who will play a little virtual game with the stash of treasure that Ariel has acquired thru her young age. Once you walk inside you’ll be greet with a huge incredible wall to wall painting that will be a delight to see, as if taken out of the celluloid of that incredibly fun-filled movie. You’ll meet your clam-mobile, which is similar to the “Doom Buggies” at Haunted Mansion but more appropriately decorated as a clam.

The ride itself is fantastic. You’ll actually be admiring and singing and dancing in your awesome clam-mobile when you see your favorite scene from the movie. From the one where Ariel is signing “Part of your World”, then there’s no denying that you’ll enjoy one of the biggest animatronics sets that Disney has produce when the “Under the Sea” portion comes out, it’ll get you dancing and be amazed by the level of craftsmanship that Disney has achieved. Be careful with the little ones when Ursula comes, it is the biggest animatronic ever built by Disney and yet this section is a little scary, but I guess if the kids have seen the movie, they will be alright. And of course, you cant never finished this type of rides with the happy ending, and it will be a lovely one.

This will be one of the biggest attractions in the new revamp Fantasyland…and this is not all what Disney promised to be in store. Next year, they are planning to finished the expansion with what sure will be the most amazing rides ever design with the opening of the Seven dwarves mining ride, which is a blend of a roller-coaster type of ride with the most state-of-the-art technology in the hands of Disney!! Cant wait, and surely you’ll hear more as the information becomes available!
